Creating a module using Github?

I followed all the instructions on other community forums and at https://github.com/rachelproject/module-template. I could not figure out how to create my own module. I have some courses saved as an html in a folder on my computer. Is this possible to create my own module?

Can you drop the HTML is a google drive or dropbox account and let me take a look?
