Hi Ken,
I will look into fixing the link. Meanwhile, I believe you can go to http://oer2go.org/ and toggle the language to all. As you type in the ‘Live Search’ box, it will suggest modules (each providing a description). If not found, your new module name should be safe.

Thanks, Steve, but I was looking for a cross reference of some of the cryptic module names to a description of their contents and was hoping that “check our module repository” would give me that. In fact, I am not (yet!) adding a module, but given the long list of abbreviated module names, I’m looking for a description of each.
The task is to present the list to the educators to tell me what they do and do not want to present to the students. Right now, I can’t help them understand what they have by giving them a list of prose descriptions of the modules.

How do I find these modules for downloading? Also is there a more detailed description of each module that is available?

Hi @efpatterson - I’ll have to check tomorrow if those modules can be made available for download. Some content is only available for installation at the time we ship a device due to requests by the content owners.
You can find previews of modules and descriptions at oer2go.org. The list of currently available modules would be on install tab on your RACHEL-Plus device’s admin interface as well. There will be extensive changes coming to oer2go and content very soon.

Recently we have been asked to help write a proposal for a mobile classroom and possible medical support clinic to be located in a rural area of Tigray. The goal is for a configuration with 20 student notebooks, 2 instructor notebooks, Speaksee (to provide real-time capture of speech), solar/wind power system, mobile ultrasound, supplies, and internet connection using Starlink to cost under $10,000 USD per location. We plan to budget $200 USD for monthly internet and other maintenance. Another part of the proposal would for staffing and using the internet connection remote services from medical facilities.

Unfortunately those modules are no longer available as we don’t currently have permission to share them. This site may be of interest to you if the mobile classroom will have internet through Starlink. They may allow you to share those documents through RACHEL as local content if you contact them.
Very interesting project though! I’ve never heard of Speaksee before but it looks like a great tool. I’ll have to look into that more. Medical assessments in remote areas is something I think is very important. The main hurdle is getting the information to the doctors who can properly diagnose issues. You may find DataPost useful for that if there are times without an internet connection.
One project you may want to look at is called Solarberry from The Turing Trust which is a shipping container converted into a mobile classroom. Giakonda are also doing great work with Solar Panels and Howard ( @giakonda ) is very active and helpful on these forums.
