I am working with a nonprofit to build a computer lab in Behsud. I haven’t seen any posts about RACHEL already being in Afghanistan. I was wondering what criteria would be needed to place RACHEL in a location that currently doesn’t have any internet or electricity. However, we are aiming to solidify electrical connections. How would the offline mechanisms work in a rural location in Afghanistan? Can RACHEL work anywhere in the world, or does it require a certain infrastructure or support?
Hi - RACHEL works anywhere in the world because RACHEL has stored copies of content, not actual internet. It does require some amount of power to charge the battery (as would any tablets or computers or phones that connect to RACHEL)
