Has anyone experience with putting a typing tutor app on either the Rachel server or on an Android device?
Can this be done? If so do you have a recommendation on how to go about?

This is an old post but you or anyone else are still looking, check out an app called “gcompris”. It is available for Linux (free), Windows and Android (nominal cost). It includes many educational game activities, and among them are activities that teach mouse and keyboarding skills and basic typing. We’ve had very good success with this in Africa for students who have never used a keyboard before.
